After its much-hyped reveal during 2023’s WWDC event, Apple released the $3,500 Vision Pro AR/VR headset into the wild, and the community has so far been … largely whelmed. Our initial impressions of the headset have held relatively true throughout the year: It’s a technically impressive piece of hardware in search of a use case.
It’s also yet to take off like earlier Apple products have, receiving scant mentions throughout Apple’s subsequent WWDC 2024 and iPhone reveal events. Now the Vision Pro faces tough fan Reddit threads and vanishing apps.
